How much does it cost to watch Devin Haney vs. Regis Prograis

Now that he is no longer the undisputed lightweight champion, Devin Haney can solely focus on the super lightweight division. The first step to dominating another division is facing Regis Prograis for the WBC super lightweight title on December 9. The fight in the Chase Center in San Francisco airs on DAZN PPV in the U.S

Haney has been competing at lightweight his entire career. The fight against Prograis is his first contest at 140. The 25-year-old wants to be a two-division champion and can’t be distracted by those in another weight class. He believes Prograis initially wouldn’t fight him. If true, that boosts his confidence heading into fight night.

“I mean, I don’t know if y’all watched the ‘Face Off’ yet,” Haney said via Boxing Scene. “If you look at it, I told him he never wanted to fight. He didn’t wanna fight. He wanted to supposedly fight some tune-up fights, or whatever, whatever, which I don’t understand why he wanted to fight some tune-up fights. This is my first fight at 140. You just won the title, so why would you wanna go fight some tune-up fights?

“But, I mean, easy to explain. He knows the type of fighter I am. He knows that he’s gonna lose, so you know, he was trying to get as much money as he could, trying to stall and get as much money as he could. But at the end of the day, I still respect him as a real fighter because he took the fight.”

Prograis has held the WBC belt since beating Jose Zepeda in 2022. He went the distance against Danielito Zorrilla in June to retain the title. The lone loss of his career was against Josh Taylor, and “Rougarou” has proven to be a different fighter since that contest. He looks to unify a division he has been a member of for a long time, which Prograis has dreamed of doing.

Per Bet MGM, Haney is the -350 favorite, while Prograis is the +275 underdog. Prograis can achieve his dream and upset the oddsmakers with a win against Haney.
